The Trans Mara Children's home is the only orphanage in the Trans Mara region, and therefore has generated a tremendous amount of attention. The orphanage is conveniently located near the TMD school buildings on a campus of its own approximately 250 ft by 250 ft. It is secured with a barbed wire fence with only one entrance and exit.

Expansion
The first phase has been completed and when the second phase is completed, the two main orphanage buildings will be put together forming a large courtyard in the middle. In addition to sleeping areas for the children and the house moms, there are several rooms that the children can use to study and play in. We are also planning a new kitchen building, a new bathroom facility complete with running water and a septic field, and a small administration building.
